This taxon is listed as Extant (living) in the IOC World Bird List.
Remarks
Change species epithet of Rhipidura spilodera to Rhipidura verreauxi, which has precedence (Dickinson & Watling 2006). Change English name of Rhipidura verreauxi from Streaked Fantail to New Caledonian Streaked Fantail with the split of the "Streaked" Fantail species complex.
