Remarks
Formerly placed in the monotypic genus Pseudoscops, but Jamaican Owl is embedded in Asio in the phylogenetic analysis of Salter et al. (2019). Move from Pseudoscops to Asio (NACC 2021-C-10; Chesser et al. 2021).
