Remarks
Tahiti Swallow Hirundo tahitica and Pacific Swallow H. javanica are split based on differences in morphology (del Hoyo & Collar 2016; HBW/BirdLife). With the asymmetric split of these two species note change of the English name of the monotypic taxon H. tahitica in keeping with its limited distribution.
