Remarks

Move Sooty Flycatcher from Muscicapa to Bradornis (Voelker et al. 2016; (Zhao M et al. 2023). With the move to Bradornis, the species epithet reverts from infuscata Cassin, 1855 to the more senior name fuliginosus Verreaux & Verreaux, 1855, which is no longer preoccupied within the genus. Note gender. Move (IOC 15.1) Sooty Flycatcher from Bradornis to the resurrecte genus Artomyias to better reflect the phylogenetic analysis of Voelker et al. (2016). Aligns with HBW/BirdLife (2024). Note gender.
