This taxon is listed as Extant (living) in the IOC World Bird List.
Remarks
Move (8.2) New Caledonian Thicketbird from Megalurulus to Cincloramphus (Alström 2011a; Alström et al. 2018). Change species epithet from mariei to original spelling mariae. Spelling mariei may be an unjustified emendation (Dickinson & Christidis 2014; HBW).
