Sulawesi Thrush (Turdus turdoides) is a species of Thrushes (Turdidae) in the order Perching Birds (Passerines).

Scientific Classification

Genus: Turdus; binomial: Turdus turdoides; authority: (Hartert, EJO, 1896).

Distribution

Breeding range: Australasia.

Conservation Status

This taxon is listed as Extant (living) in the IOC World Bird List.

Remarks

Phylogenetic analysis reveals that Sulawesi Thrush is embedded in Turdus. Move from the monotypic genus Cataponera to Turdus (Reeve et al. 2022). Note change in gender.
