This taxon is listed as Extant (living) in the IOC World Bird List.
Remarks
Chloropsis moluccensis is split from C. cochinchinensis based on plumage and deep mtDNA divergence (HBW/BirdLife; Moltesen et al. 2012; Eaton et al. 2016). Note that the English name Blue-winged Leafbird is assigned to the widespread C. moluccensis with the split of Javan Leafbird C. cochinchinensis.
