Remarks
Eye-ringed Parrotbill Suthora ricketti is split from S. brunnea based on DNA analysis, morphology, and difference in calls (Deignan 1964; Robson 2007; Penhallurick & Robson 2009; Yeung et al. 2011; HBW/BirdLife). This species is frequently called "Yunnan Parrotbill" in other sources (e.g. HBW/BirdLife).
