Biak Lorikeet (Trichoglossus rosenbergii) is a species of Old World Parrots (Psittaculidae) in the order Parrots.

Scientific Classification

Genus: Trichoglossus; binomial: Trichoglossus rosenbergii; authority: Schlegel, 1871.

Distribution

Breeding range: Australasia.

Conservation Status

This taxon is listed as Extant (living) in the IOC World Bird List.

Remarks

Change English name of Trichoglossus rosenbergii to Biak Lorikeet (Gregory 2009). Morphologically distinct island endemic (HBW) but mtDNA links to massena complex (Braun et al. 2017).
