This taxon is listed as Extant (living) in the IOC World Bird List.
Remarks
C. amabilis (Ramsay, EP, 1875) has precedence over C. aureicincta (Layard, EL, 1875) (H&M 4:379). Formerly assigned to Charmosyna but phylogenetic analyses show it to be embedded in Vini, to which it is moved (Smith, BT et al. 2020; Joseph et al. 2020).
