Remarks

The use of Z. rendovae Tristram, 1882 rather than Z. ugiensis (Ramsay, EP, 1882) follows Mees (1955, 1961) and van Balen (2008; HBW 13). Z. rendovae Tristram, January 1882 is a nomen novum for Zosterops olivaceus (Ramsay, 1881), which is preoccupied, and so rendovae, olivaceus and ugiensis Ramsay, published after January 1882 are all based on the same type specimen (R. Schodde, in litt.).
